For years people have held wonder at what could be behind the door that you fall from at the very start of Super Mario Brothers 2. Will the game crash? Would it leads back into the cave from Mario’s dream? Would Mario wake up? Can you even enter the door? Now, the answer is here.
I have made an IPS patch for the Super Mario Brothers 2 ROM that puts a platform underneath the door. You will fall right on it. Check it out and see what happens…
I made this patch using the U (!) version of the ROM as a base, so I can’t guarantee it will work work for any other versions, including the original Doki Doki Paniku, as I can’t find a copy of that.
